Ask your friends, family, or co-workers: volunteering together is a great way to build relationships within your group, have fun while making a difference in your community, and helping address the affordable housing crisis. Volunteer groups help us build homes and do repair projects. We welcome business groups, church groups, community groups, groups of friends and co-workers, any group of people are welcome on site.
On a typical day Willamette West can accommodate groups up to 15 volunteers. If you have more, we can consider doing split AM/PM shifts of four hours each with everyone eating lunch together.
Groups must be arranged directly with the Volunteer Coordinator to make sure the site is available and there is enough work for the group before confirming your date. Email, call, (503.844.7606 x 113) or fill out the group submission form below to start your conversation.
HABITAT TEAM BUILDER GROUPS
Want to bring a group from work and spend the day on the construction site together? Corporate volunteer groups are not required to make a financial contribution, but are encouraged to do so, to help us cover the $120,000 material costs for every home built. Your Team Builder dollars are also tax deductible where allowed by law. Benefits of being a Team Build group includes social media mentions, lunch for the group on site, Habitat t-shirts and other goodies. You'll have the site to yourself and your own team of construction leads. All day shift: 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM
Group AM shift: 8:15AM - 11:45AM (then lunch)
Group PM shift: (lunch) then 12:30PM - 4:00PM
